Describe the field and table changes you want in plain language

Use Ask AI when you want to change your parser's Fields & Tables without editing every item yourself. You can ask it to add, remove, rename, or reorganize fields and tables.

How to use Ask AI

1. Open your parser and go to Settings -> Fields & Tables.

2. Click Ask AI.

3. Choose one of these ways to explain the change:

  • Describe changes in plain language.
  • Upload one sample document so AI can adjust the fields for that document.

4. Submit the request. Ask AI updates and saves the Fields & Tables setup directly.

5. Review the updated fields. Edit them manually if anything needs adjustment.

What you can ask for

  • "Rename Supplier to Vendor Name."
  • "Add Purchase Order Number as plain text."
  • "Turn Payment Status into Multiple Choice with Paid, Unpaid, and Partially Paid."
  • "Create a Line Items table with Description, Quantity, Unit Price, and Total."
  • "Remove fields that are not useful for accounts payable."
  • "Improve the descriptions for all date and amount fields."

Before you apply a large change

Click Save a copy first in the Ask AI window to download a backup. This is useful when you are renaming many fields or changing tables.

Ask AI can change the structure immediately, so be specific about what should stay and what should change.

After Ask AI finishes

1. Check the field names, types, choices, descriptions, and table columns.

2. Make any manual corrections and click Save Fields.

3. Reprocess a few existing documents if you want them to use the new setup.

Tips

  • Be specific: Use the exact field and table names in your instruction.
  • Make one clear request at a time when a change is complex.
  • Use a sample document when the desired structure is easier to show than describe.
  • Check integrations and Post Processing after renaming or deleting fields.

When to use Ask AI

  • When a new parser needs several fields at once
  • When fields have the wrong names or types
  • When you want to create or restructure a table
  • When descriptions need improvement
