PARSER GUIDES
Import Documents with Make
Integrations
Send files from another Make app into PARSER
Create a Make scenario that sends documents from Gmail, Dropbox, or another app into PARSER.
Before continuing, connect PARSER to Make.
Add the source app
Create a scenario and add the app that provides the document.
For example, use a Gmail trigger for new attachments or a Dropbox trigger for new files.
Add PARSER
Add PARSER app -> Upload a document and select your saved PARSER app connection.

In Parser or classifier, choose:
- A parser when every file uses the same extraction fields
- A classifier when the source contains mixed document types
Map the document
Choose one source:
- File - Map the file name and file data from the earlier module.
- File URL - Map a direct link that downloads without sign-in.

1. Click Run once.
2. Create one test event in the source app.
3. Confirm that the document appears in PARSER.
4. Turn on the scenario.
What success looks like
The scenario creates one new document in the selected parser or classifier whenever the source event occurs.
To send the completed fields somewhere else, create a separate processed-data scenario.
If it does not work
- Reopen the PARSER module if a parser or classifier is missing.
- Check the API key's parser access.
- Open a file URL in a private browser window to confirm that it downloads without signing in.
- Confirm that the selected destination accepts the file type.
See Troubleshoot Integrations for more checks.
