PARSER GUIDES
Import Documents with Zapier
Integrations
Send files from another Zapier app into PARSER
Create a Zap that sends documents from Gmail, Dropbox, or another app into PARSER.
Before continuing, connect PARSER to Zapier.
Add the source app
Create a Zap and choose the app and event that provides the document.
For example, use Gmail - New Email or Dropbox - New File in Folder.
Add PARSER
Add PARSER app - Import Document as the action and select your saved connection.

In Parser or Classifier, choose:
- A parser when every file uses the same extraction fields
- A classifier when the source contains mixed document types
Map the document
Map either:
- File - Use a file or attachment from the earlier step.
- File URL - Use a direct link that downloads without sign-in.
Add File Name only when you want to replace the original name.

1. Test the action.
2. Confirm that the document appears in PARSER.
3. Publish the Zap.
What success looks like
The Zap creates one new document in the selected parser or classifier whenever the source event occurs.
To send the completed fields somewhere else, create a separate processed-data Zap.
If it does not work
- Reopen the PARSER step if a parser or classifier is missing.
- Check the API key's parser access.
- Open a file URL in a private browser window to confirm that it downloads without signing in.
- Confirm that the selected destination accepts the file type.
See Troubleshoot Integrations for more checks.
