Create custom upload pages for your clients to upload documents

Standalone Upload Pages let you create a custom upload page that your clients can use to upload documents directly. They don't need a PARSER account--just the link to your upload page.

A Standalone Upload Page is a dedicated web page where people can upload documents for your parser. You get a unique URL that you can share with clients, vendors, or anyone who needs to send you documents.

Perfect for:

  • Collecting invoices from vendors
  • Receiving receipts from employees
  • Gathering documents from clients
  • Any situation where you want others to upload documents without needing a PARSER account

How it works

1. Enable the upload page in your parser settings

2. Get your upload page URL (a unique link is generated)

3. Share the URL with whoever needs to upload documents

4. They upload documents directly on that page

5. Documents appear in your Document Inbox automatically

Setting up a Standalone Upload Page

Enable the Upload Page

1. Open your parser and click Integrations in the parser sidebar (or go to Settings -> Integrations tab).

2. Scroll to the Import section and find the Upload Page area.

3. Toggle Enable Upload Page to turn it on.

4. A unique URL is automatically generated for your upload page.

You can customize how your upload page looks and works:

1. In the Upload Page section, click Show Customization Options to expand the customization settings.

2. Customize any of these options:

  • Page Title: Custom title that appears at the top (defaults to your parser name)
  • Description: Brief description shown below the title
  • Instructions: Instructions for users on how to upload (e.g. "Please upload your invoice using the form below")
  • Logo URL: Enter the URL to your company logo image to display on the page
  • Primary Color: Choose a color for buttons to match your brand (use the color picker or enter a hex code)
  • Thank You Message: Message shown after successful upload
  • Redirect URL: Send users to a custom page after upload (e.g. your website's thank you page)

Using Your Upload Page

Sharing the URL

Once you have your upload page URL, you can:

  • Email it to clients or vendors
  • Add it to your website as a link or button
  • Include it in forms or client portals
  • Share it in messages or communication tools

What Users See

When someone visits your upload page, they'll see:

1. Your custom title and description (if you set them)

2. Upload instructions (if you added them)

3. An upload form where they can drag and drop files or click to browse

4. Manual fields below the upload area if you configured any fields shown before upload

5. Processing status while the document is being processed

6. Thank you message or redirect after successful upload

Users don't need to sign in or create an account. They just upload and go.

Upload Page Features

Data Preview (Optional)

If you enable Show Data Preview, users can see the extracted data before submitting. This lets them:

  • Review what information was extracted
  • Make sure the document was processed correctly
  • Confirm before the data is sent to your Document Inbox

Manual fields filled before upload also appear in the preview, so users can correct them before submitting if needed.

Fields Shown Before Upload

You can show selected parser fields on the first upload step, below the drag-and-drop area. This is useful when a value should come from the person uploading the document instead of AI extraction, such as a student ID, customer code, case number, or email address.

To use this:

1. Open Integrations -> Upload Page.

2. Click Show Customization Options.

3. Enable Fields shown before upload and select the fields to display.

4. Leave Required on for fields users must fill before upload, or turn it off for optional fields.

5. Turn on Validation for a field to add a JavaScript regex pattern and optional error message.

Only visible top-level scalar and list fields can be selected. Table fields, table columns, hidden fields, and object fields are not available in this list.

When someone submits the upload page, PARSER stores those manual values with the document and applies them to the extracted data before workflows, post-processing, exports, and review run. If AI extraction is enabled for a selected field, the upload-page value overrides the extracted value for that upload.

Redirect After Upload

You can set a Redirect URL to send users to a custom page after they upload. For example:

  • Your website's thank you page
  • A confirmation page
  • Your client portal

If you don't set a redirect, users see a thank you message on the upload page.

Managing Your Upload Page

Regenerating the URL

If you need to change your upload page URL (for security or other reasons):

1. Go to Integrations (in the parser sidebar or Settings -> Integrations tab).

2. Find the Upload Page section in the Import area.

3. Click Regenerate Token.

4. A new URL is created and the old one stops working immediately.

Important: If you regenerate the token, update any places where you shared the old URL (emails, websites, etc.).

Disabling the Upload Page

To temporarily stop accepting uploads:

1. Go to Integrations (in the parser sidebar or Settings -> Integrations tab).

2. Find the Upload Page section in the Import area.

3. Toggle Enable Upload Page to turn it off.

4. The upload page URL will no longer work until you enable it again.

You can re-enable it anytime--the same URL will work again.

Tips

  • Use clear instructions: Tell users what type of documents to upload and any requirements
  • Test the upload page: Upload a test document yourself to make sure everything works
  • Customize the branding: Add your logo and colors to make it feel like part of your business
  • Set a redirect URL: Send users to a confirmation page on your website for a professional experience
  • Keep the URL secure: Only share it with people who should be uploading documents

Security

  • Each upload page has a unique token that makes it secure
  • Only people with the exact URL can access your upload page
  • You can regenerate the token anytime if you need to revoke access
  • Documents uploaded through the page appear in your Document Inbox just like regular uploads
